The Airborne Solutions Division currently has a dynamic opportunity for an entry level  Mechanical Engineer to work in our Manassas, Virginia office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to help in designing, upgrading and maintaining aircraft modifications on the U.S. Army’s Fixed Wing ISR platforms.

Primary Responsibilities
-Assist with all production related efforts associated with aircraft modifications and mission equipment payload (MEP) provisions. To include resolving part non-conformities, material alternatives and repair instructions.
-Learn every step involved in the modification process, from conceptual design to final assembly, and installation on the aircraft.
-Work in a shop environment, and consult with aircraft production staff, as needed.


Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

-Bachelors of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. 
-Experience using SolidWorks CAD software
-Strong manufacturing process knowledge
-Strong communication skills for collaboration
-Positive attitude, ability to multi-task and possess strong time management skills
-20% CONUS travel required
-A DoD clearance is NOT required to start; a final Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance, is required.

Preferred Qualifications
-Knowledgeable on aircraft structures
-Manufacturing and machining experience
-Familiar with Military and/or FAA airworthiness substantiation requirements
