Job Description:

Accredited Testing & Evaluation (AT&E) Team is looking for a Summer Intern to work onsite in Columbia, MD. AT&E comprises of two product testing laboratories testing commercial products to government security standards such as FIPS 140-2 Cryptographic Modules and Common Criteria.

Leidos is one of the largest testing laboratories in both of these fields.

A summer intern will support the AT&E team setting up and maintaining lab test environments as well as developing testing tools to increase the efficiency of the testing process.

In addition, a summer intern will execute security product testing by supporting testing activities such as physical and tamper evidence testing of hardware security products as well as source code review of software security products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and program test tools to aid in efficient security testing
  • Test environment set up
  • Lab equipment organization and infrastructure maintenance
  • Testing of basic Security Functional Requirements
  • Physical and tamper evidence testing of hardware security products
  • Source Code Review (such, as but not limited to, C, C++, Java)

Basic Qualifications

Working on a BS in the fields of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering

US Citizenship Requirements

Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong programing experience

- Experience with Python, Windows and Linux scripting

- Networking and networking protocol experience (Subnetting, routing, TCP/IP, TLS, SSH, IPsec)

- Experience documenting test results

- Interest in the IT Security field
