The Leidos NISC III program is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team in Washington, DC and support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The ideal candidate must be able to handle multiple mission critical projects. The candidate must show proven experience converting red/yellow IT projects to green projects. This position will require the candidate to be responsible for ensuring that customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating contract-required deliverables, the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in overall planning services including identifying customer needs, creating performance work statements, identifying risks and estimating schedule and cost. The candidate will require ability to influence others outside of own area on policies, practices and procedures.
The candidate will manage a large team of experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. The incumbent will interface with Project Managers, Contracts, Senior Technical personnel and shared services to support accurate and timely Estimates at Completion (EACs) in parallel with development of program annual operating plan Forecasts; perform risk management, cash flow analysis, and profitability analysis for projects and recommends corrective actions, as appropriate. May participate in new business proposals; analysis of requirements, input to cost and management volumes; and support program reviews and reoccurring Group reviews.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Accounting or an appropriate related discipline, and 4 - 8 years Project Manager or related experience.Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Proven experience in managing projects including planning, tracking analysis, and reporting on the project.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities including ability to lead evaluation of scope, resources, risk, dependencies, communications, and technical path forward on project.
- Able to establish and maintain of cost/schedule baselines
- Assists with risk analysis and mitigation activities
- Develops and maintains both revenue recognition and management Estimates at Completion (EACs) as required and/or needed.
- Experience with creating and developing IDIQ Task Orders, developing work proposals and related project deliverables. Understanding of Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Experience with monitoring task orders financials, products/deliverables, staffing levels and with enforcing performance work statement.
Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office and MS Power Point.
