The Cyber and SIGINT Solution Ops under Defense and Intelligence Sector of Leidos has a career opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer with a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

PROGRAM SUMMARY: Do you enjoy being a part of small teams that work closely with the customer? Does big data pique your interest? Our Prototype Development Support program is looking for candidates with a strong mission focus to do new development and rapid prototyping. Someone who can figure out smarter, better ways to discover new targets or support mission analysis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Software Development and Systems Integration support to Cybersecurity Operation missions by developing rapid solutions and integrating COTs and prototype software applications using a variety of APIs, frameworks and program scripting languages. Be part of a robust Cybersecurity Defense development team and assist with architecting and implementing solutions to support missions and the development environment. Position provides the opportunity to develop scripting and software solutions to address QRC requirements and the infrastructure they run on. Position will provide guidance to the development team for improvements in the development infrastructure and be responsible supporting the integration of those components. Position provides an opportunity to do develop software, support software and systems integration, and develop solutions that enhance the Cybersecurity Mission Operators.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The candidate must have:

Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of experience, additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • At least 12 years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software‐intensive projects and programs for government or industry customers. At least 4 years of the experience must have been as a software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirement analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration ﴾with both new and existing systems﴿.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must be able to work in a team environment and collaborate well with others Experience in Cybersecurity and/or Cyber Defense is desired Experience in systems and software integration is desired Experience in integrating products in both Linux/Windows environments is desired Scripting experience is desired Experience in software development ﴾Python, Java﴿ is desired Experience utilizing containers such as Docker is desired Database ﴾MySQL, SPLUNK﴿ is desired
