The Leidos Modeling, Simulation & Training (MS&T) division currently has an opening for a Configuration Management Analyst to work in our Orlando, FL office.

The Synthetic Environment (SE) Core program’s primary objective is to enable an interoperable Common Virtual Environments (CVE) for Army simulation and training programs.  SE Core focuses on delivering software and limited hardware to enable a CVE where Warfighters can train in virtual reality settings.  The SE Core program facilitates a virtual training environment supporting mission-focused unit training that approximates the changing contemporary operational environment.

The Configuration Management Analyst is an entry level position that will assist the Project Configuration Management Manager in the planning and managing of the configuration management activities for this program. Activities include managing records and data concerning product baselines, product documentation, and delivery records.  Some process development and documentation activities are expected.  The Analyst will be required to coordinate and work with other team leads and managers while exercising the configuration management processes.

Primary Responsibilities

The Configuration Management Analyst will be responsible for implementing configuration management at the project level. Typically involved in managing data and records related to configuration identification, data management, software change control processes, change control organization, hierarchical change control, managing the correlation between products, data archival and retrieval procedures, baseline management, version control, data management, processing product deliveries and managing change sets. Responsible for technical and management-level reports, reporting CM metrics, baseline management, and version control. Frequently interacts with customers, subcontractors and functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.

Basic Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of Configuration Management, Data / Document Management, or software development experience
  • BA/BS degree (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree) 
  • Must be able to obtain a SECRET or above security clearance
  • Ability to be well organized and follow processes
  • Detail oriented – focus on accuracy of records, data, and reports
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Significant experience in Microsoft Office © - Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability as good communicator capable of producing documentation and interacting well with others
  • Experience with SharePoint, SubVersion, and Atlassian tools (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with software and hardware data types
