Leidos has a career opening for a Trade Show Manager located in Reston, VA.

Position Summary:
the job of the Trade Show Manager is to coordinate all aspects of trade shows to include planning and logistics with a focus on collaborating with internal business leads, marketing, creative, and branding, as well as external vendors and exhibitor organizations.   Role includes handling related activities, solving installation problems, managing contracts and payments, collaborating with vendors, and overseeing technical features.  The Trade Show Manager will be responsible for planning and executing corporate priority and group-funded trade shows.

Specific roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Manage assigned corporate and group-funded trade shows, delivering shows that meet defined objectives, on schedule and within budget
• Follow established corporate trade show policies and procures, as well as brand guidelines
• Build individual trade show budgets, track costs, and process payments
• Establish and manage to conference and vendor milestones and deadlines
• Coordinate show logistics, booth design and layout
• Collaborate with internal business leads, marketing, creative, as well as external vendors and exhibitor organizations, to deliver an on-brand booth that meets business and marketing objectives
• Work with business leads to establish and moderate planning calls
• Work with business and marketing leads to execute show themes, align demos and capabilities, and secure technology and services that meet requirements
• Provide logistics oversight and booth management during run-of-show
• Work with the business to select strategic booth locations
• Research, select, and procure promotional giveaways
• Conduct housing block negotiation, as required
• Complete conference registrations
• Arrange hospitality events tied to shows
• Work with corporate security to communicate safety and security plan; serve as safety POC while onsite
• Manage on-site booth install/dismantle
• Collect and disseminate business leads to marketing
• Leverage meeting planning tools to schedule and track related meetings
• Create post-show survey and facilitate debrief
• Create executive summary for Tier 1 shows

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience in planning and executing trade shows
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and senior executives
• Practical experience managing and executing trade shows with budgets ranging from $50,000 - $250,000
• Ability to juggle multiple shows and priorities
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent time management
• General knowledge of trade show best practices and standards
