Leidos is seeking an engineer to work as a Scrum Master and Software Engineer for an unmanned autonomous ship project. This engineer will be joining an existing team which has already successfully delivered for our customers. The successful candidate will focus on connecting with the team, and co-operating to help the team focus on making achievable commitments and meeting them together. Our other Scrum Masters will work closely with this new team member, and will collaborate to help coach the team together.
As a Scrum Master, he or she will be responsible for coaching their team, helping the team follow the Scrum process, acting as the single point of contact for their team with management and the other Scrum teams on the project, in addition to helping the team refine the backlog continuously. The engineer may also perform technical tasks as part of the integrated team, depending on skills and time available and what their team needs.
This Scrum Master will be an integral part of our team, collaborating to work with us to make our unmanned vessels smarter. Their team of engineers will demonstrate their work regularly for customers and management, gaining exposure and constant feedback. The work done on this project will be demonstrated in the real world.
