The Leidos Defense Group has an immediate career opportunity for a Solution Architect based at San Antonio, Texas.
Candidate will support the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) in a Solutions' Architect role.
The DCPDS system houses HR data associated with Defense Civilian Personnel.
Candidate may also support Leidos business development, Leidos proposals, and/or other programs as necessary.
Solution Architect contributions for DCPDS include cloud systems plans and strategy; design, development, and deployment of applications into Oracle HCM or Oracle OCI.
The Solutions Architect’s responsibilities may include designing and leading the development and integration of cloud-based information and computer systems that meet specific needs, accountable for the end-to-end cloud deployment experience, from concept development to deployment.

Excellent customer facing skills, including being able to ingest requirements and information in a competitive environment, developing clear understanding of customer hot-buttons and needs.
Building rapport with the client and leading teams to create holistic, relevant, durable and elegant solutions.
Experience of working in new business environment, shaping and bidding on large and complex programs, with outstanding ability to translate often complex technical environments into coherent and understandable solutions.
Significant, tangible and demonstrable experience in the solution design of large, complex and mission critical IT systems.
Demonstrable knowledge and cognizance of adjacent disciplines, including program management, customer relationship management, business development and financial management.
In depth experience across a number of broad technology disciplines.
Engage with technical teams on the program, establish logical and physical architectures, lead technical designs, determine priorities, scope additional work, collect and report status, review/approve changes, and ensure tasks are completed on time
Establish roadmaps, best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches for modernization capabilities.
Recruits and mentors engineering staff and builds the technical workforce as necessary.
Work with the customer and external stakeholders (industry leaders, vendors, military) to accomplish program goals identifying the issues, risks, dependencies, and making sure action plans are documented and executed accordingly.
Perform Analysis of Alternatives, and perform trade studies behind solution components and identify engineering risks, and costs to identify efficiencies and improved ways of delivering service to the customer.
Build strong professional working relationships with stakeholders to resolve disputes, define technical solutions, and drive positive change within the program.
Work in partnership with Business Development to understand and participate in the development of new business strategy assessing current and future skills and technology needs.
Masters degree and 15-20 years relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of Masters or
Doctorate with 13-16 years relevant experience.
Must be US Citizen.

Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud and/or Oracle EBS (EBusiness Suite).
Demonstrated expertise designing, implementing and integrating large enterprise grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements.
Ability to provide clear technical leadership whilst working collaboratively with a wider solution and bid team.
Strong problem-solving with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation), including the ability to listen effectively.
