Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior System Administrator to join JSP in Norfolk, VA.

JOB SUMMARY
•Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent VCenter, Horizon View, and the virtual desktop operating environments
•Perform hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with application owners to minimize disruptions.
•Demonstrate day-to-day adherence with change management precepts and practices and is responsible for writing Change Requests and seeking approval.
•Troubleshoot and resolve unique or complex problems in an efficient manner.
•Prepare clear and timely technical documentation that explains recommended/required actions.
•Interface directly with the client and parallel teams when necessary.
•Apply DISA STIGs and resolve security vulnerabilities.
•Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production.
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
•Requires BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience in lieu of degree.
•Proficient understanding of technology areas such as VMware VCenter, Horizon View, DaaS/VDI systems management, in addition to Windows 10 OS, patch and update/vulnerability mitigation.
•Fundamental understanding Image creation, maintenance, testing and deployment.
•Hands-on experience implementing DoD STIG requirements
•Working knowledge of networking concepts and Zero Client connectivity and management.
•Proficient with troubleshooting Window 10 OS computing environment
•Hands-on experience with reviewing system logs and events to resolve issues
•Demonstrated analytical approach to solve complex problems in a complex, large-scale, and multi datacenter environments.
•Possess DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW established mandate prior to start of work – IAT Level II required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP); IAT Level III is desirable (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH).
•Win 10 OS Certification - or – VMWare VCA
•Active DoD issued minimum Secret clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience using PowerShell script
•Experience using SCCM
•**Preferred Certification: VMWare VCP 5.5 or higher**
