The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Special Operations Forces Support Team, Operations Integrator to work at a government facility in Reston, Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience assisting DTRA-OI-OA Focused Support Decisive Action program in its mission to counter improvised threats. You will provide support to our the client, and forward deployed Special Operations units, focused on countering improvised threats and the networks that finance, build or employ such threats. Duties will include managing operations and intelligence support products to Special Operations Forces both at homestation and deployed. You will execute your mission by working with supported units and teams to understand requirements and mission needs, coordinate the organization’s diverse capabilities to support those needs, and ensure organizational products meet all requirements on time. Ability to deploy to austere, forward deployed locations to include hostile and semi-permissive environments on a rotational basis is required.
You will work as part of special operations analytical support teams, and when necessary, lead those teams in support of select Special Operations units, deployed and in training, and produce actionable information as and when needed by the supported element. You will provide operational subject matter expertise that is highly skilled at developing actionable information that feeds SOF targeting. You will provide assistance in mission planning. You will work independently and as part of a team with little direct supervision. Your work will result in relevant and timely analytical support to a range of deployed SOF units to include Army Special Forces, USMC Raiders, Navy SEAL Teams, Army Rangers, and Coalition SOF. Your deployment rotations aims to support 4-6 month deployments with 18 months of dwell time at home station. Salary uplifts while deployed apply.
• .BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant.
• Experience in mission planning for Special Operations Forces both at home station and in deployed locations.
• Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.
• The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Be medically deployable and willing to deploy to OCONUS theaters of operation to provide ORSA support to forward units.
- Army 18 series MOS experience, 11 series MOS with Ranger Battalion experience, Navy SEAL experience, or MARSOC Raider experience.
- Recent relevant deployment experience with Special Operations Forces.
• Mission planning / targeting experience in a Special Mission Unit is a plus.
• Experience with ArcGIS, Google Earth.
• Experience with C-IED techniques, tactics and procedures.
• Experience with Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAV).
