The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Program Security Control Specialist in Columbia, MD or King of Prussia, PA.  

POSITION SUMMARY:
The GSM-O I & II Program Operations team is seeking a Program Security Control specialist that will work in a service environment team working with the leaders of the 15 active task orders, Leidos recruiters, Leidos Central Security, and sometimes external subcontractor and external customers regarding subcontractor and subcontractor/Leidos staff accesses.  This function is key to ensuring ability to perform the Mission.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide guidance and understand and follow GSM-O program and corporate specific procedures and templates to develop, submit and follow to closure the documentation required to operate and maintain access to sites and systems.   
•Prepare reports and/or make recommendations for preventative or corrective actions with program security procedures. 
•Generate and submit, to either Leidos Central Security or the Customer, required forms for individual Visit Access Requests (VARs), new or renewed clearance requests, staff security requests and subcontractor DD254’s following Leidos and program processes and templates.
•Provide effective positive communication to internal and external customers to ensure their requirements are accurately captured and processed, and that they are aware of the status of their requests.
•Work within a team, coordinate across organizations and support the organization necessary to enable the ability to perform the Mission.
•Support additional program requirements, as needed/required.
•Must be reliable, take initiative, work independently but is also very efficient working as a member of a team.
•Must demonstrate a general commitment to excellence and a dedication to producing quality work results.  Candidate must be committed to customer service, well organized, able to plan and prioritize assignments and able to effectively  handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  
•Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be courteous and professional when interacting with colleagues and customers, demonstrate a solid ability to identify and solve problems, and be able to work successfully in a team environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience; additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
•Prior experience supporting large complex programs.
•MS Office experience, specifically Excel, and other computer based tools.
•Attention to detail, organization skills and strong, positive customer relationship and teamwork skills.
•Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Knowledge of DD254, VAR and security processes.
