Airborne Solutions, within the Leidos Defense Group, has a dynamic opportunity for a Logistics Site Lead located at our Aberdeen, MD location. In this role, you will support the ARL-E program; this is a multi-year program supporting the U.S. Army with upgrading and enhancing the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities of their airborne reconnaissance fleet. As the Logistics Site Lead, you will perform day-to-day execution of the Logistical needs of the program, and participate as part of a multi-company team, to manage program property.
The ARL-E team is geo-graphically separated with primary duty locations at Manassas & Bridgewater, VA and Aberdeen, MD. A minimum of 25% travel may be required to support Logistical training and program needs at each of the primary duty locations as well as at EL Paso, TX (Ft. Bliss) to support testing and program needs.
-Responsible for supervising logistics personnel on day to day operations.
-Supervise multiple program Bills of Materials (BOMs).
-Review and update the ARL-E Logistics SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) reviewing policies and procedures to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
-Work with other site leads to develop and implement solutions to complex Program Logistical issues and concerns.
-Provide technical assistance as required.
-Coach Logistical staff.
-Ensure personnel are tracking all program property as it moves to and from site locations. Provide oversite in our data-base to ensure personnel are accurately reflecting these moves.
-Develop and establish procedures after collaborating with internal team experts.
-Advise and influence team members to attain program goals & objectives.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below
- A current DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
- A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of related work experience required in lieu of a degree.
- Civilian and/or military experience with AISR programs
- Possess strong problem-solving, organizational, Leadership and verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook).
- 25% travel required as noted within the job description
- Broad knowledge of acquisition, shipping, receiving, and storage of large equipment.
- Experience with logistical databases
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration
- Logistics/Supply Chain Experience handling government property.
- Understand storage and security requirements handling sensitive equipment.
- Experience using UPS, FedEx and other shipping companies.
- Experience hand receipting and transferring government property.
- Schedule and maintain calibration, and maintenance requirements for government properties.
- Forklift experience.
