Job Description:
The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Information Operations Planner, 616th Operations Center at Lackland AFB, TX. Candidates must already possess a current TS/SCI with polygraph in order to be considered. This position is part of a large program supporting Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate requires detailed knowledge and understanding of applicable Strategy (DoD Strategy for Operations in the Information Environment - OIE), Concepts (Joint Concept for OIE), and Joint/Service Doctrine/Instructions (Air Force and Joint Publication 3-13, Information Operations). Desired operational experience with OIE includes planning, integrating, executing, identifying measures of performance and effectiveness, and assessing the following: intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, electromagnetic warfare, cyber operations, space operations, military information support operations, and military deception in support of USCYBERCOM, air components and combatant commands Information Warfare (IW)
requirements. Candidate will be expected to provide IO inputs and recommendations to concepts of operation, strategies, campaigns, operational planning, briefs, and papers; must possess the knowledge to identify and apply policy and appropriate authorities to plan and execute IO as part of 16 AF’s broader IW operations. Requires ability to adopt and embrace an IW mindset for collaboration with SMEs of other IW disciplines to develop new, innovative cross-domain operational methods. Represents 16 AF/616th Operations Center across a variety of functional area organizations and activities. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with air components, service, Allied, joint IO centers, combat support agencies, combatant commands, interagency partners, academia and industry.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence Studies, or other analytic related field (10 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience planning and/or executing IO supporting DoD/OGA operations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education in DoD IO Operations Experience with AF ISR
- Experience in a warfighting staff or NAF staff
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
