Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Training Manager, 616th Operations Center at Lackland AFB, TX.  Candidates must already possess a current TS/SCI in order to be considered.This position is part of a large program supporting Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission.

Primary Responsibilities

The 616th Operations Center’s Training Manager Instructor’s primary role is to oversee all training conducted within the 616th Operations Center, a 24/7 operations. This be familiar with all AETC-mandated training requirements, maintain training products, respond to multiple echelons of command-validated training requirements and adhere to prescribed AETC and ISR training instructions.  Additionally, the candidate will use analytical techniques, and Microsoft Office programs to provide ISR topical training products as visual/reference aids to training. The Training Manager will periodically brief the 616th OC Commander on curriculum and status of all trainees.  The Operations Training Manager will be responsible for day-to-day duties of managing the Initial Qualification, Mission Qualification and Continuation training (IQT, MQT, CT) of all assigned personnel.  The candidate will coordinate with the Operations and Training divisions to create and edit training curriculums, and drive improvements and innovations related to training process as mission requirements change.  The candidate will enhance and improve the learning environment while improving the student experience as they are engaged in learning.

 Basic Qualifications:

- TS/SCI Clearance

- Bachelor’s degree and 10-12 years of relevant ISR experience.

- Certified in AETCs Basic Instructor Course (BIC)

- Practioner of Instructional Systems Design (ISD)

- 10 years’ experience with the national intelligence community.

- Understand AF operations and have experience working directly with a military operational command

- Working knowledge of the U.S. Air Force Intelligence Career field training requirements.

- Have a working-level ability with all components of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience assigned at HHQ in a Training capacity

- 10 years’ experience working within the national intelligence community.

- Instructor experience within the U.S. Air Force Intelligence career field.
