The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Jr. Program Manager in King of Prussia, PA, or Columbia, MD, or Reston, VA or Scott AFB, IL.  

**This is a great opportunity for someone relatively early in their career to be exposed to get exposed to and participate in the development, evaluation and characterization of proposal solutions, as well as to get exposed to the programmatic considerations and elements of developing, delivering and closing on sole source opportunities.  While leveraging existing skills and developing new skills, this role simultaneously provides the opportunity to make a meaningful and measureable contribution to the business.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The GSM-O I & II Program Operations team at Leidos has an opening for a Jr. Program Manager to work in a sole source environment.  GSM-O is a worldwide team currently with fifteen active task orders.  While the preferred locations for this role are PA, MD, VA or IL, a virtual team is supported.  This is a high-paced environment with over 70 ROMs and proposal on average per year making a significant contribution to the overall business objectives.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support the development and coordination of proposals from initiation through award, to include: defining the proposal timelines based on the required content and customer timeline, working with the various functional areas, including task order SME’s and functional groups contributing to the proposals to ensure all elements are appropriately and compliantly incorporated.  
•Engage with all related functional groups, including contracts, subcontracts, finance and pricing, to help define and characterize the proposal solution and translate that into proposal artifacts. 
•Translate the ROM and proposal solution into the labor, material, travel and ODC components for input to the pricing team followed by coordination and review of the solution to ensure it holds together.   
•Coordinate all aspects of ROM and proposal content across the various involved functions from initiation through negotiation and award.
•Provide hands-on support to characterizing the proposal content in preparation for input to pricing.
•Review, analyze and evaluate pricing output for complete, correct and complaint proposals.
•Work with the technical/programmatic subject matter experts to characterize the proposal characteristics for communication/charts for review and approval for submittal.
•Aptitude and in the combination of programmatic and system engineering skills to gain knowledge and exposure to the programmatic, finance, contracts and technical aspects of ROMs and proposals as they influence award/programs.
•Some surge support is required to meet the Customer timelines.  


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience; additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•Strong planning and analytic skills.
•Soft skills for leading and coordination multiple functional areas.
•Experience in proposal preparation, coordination, and production.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Experience Microsoft Word. Skilled in formatting Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint documents.
•Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
