The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Communications Security Lead in the National Capital Region. Exact position location within the NCR to be determined.

The NGEN-R contract will provide secure end-to-end Information Technology (IT) services to more than 400,000 hardware devices and 600,000+ users at over 1,600 Continental United States (CONUS) sites and over 82 OCONUS site across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East; constituting one of the largest combined networks in the world

JOB SUMMARY: The Communications Security (COMSEC) Lead will provide leadership and guidance in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DoD classified and unclassified information that has not been approved for public release during transmission in support of the Department of Navy (DON) Next Generation Recompete (NGEN-R) contract. Additionally, the COMSEC Lead oversees processes and procedures for protecting traffic on military communications networks, including voice, video, and data, and is used for both analog and digital applications, and both wired and wireless links.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Serve as the Leidos primary representative to manage and safeguard Government provided encryption products and keying materials in accordance with EKMS-1 and Procedures for Navy Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) any official directives and ALCOMs issued by the Naval COMSEC Material Command (NCMS).
•Assume responsibility for type 1-4 encryption equipment that is used or deployed at NMCI sites including remote sites, CONUS, and OCONUS. This includes implementations that are part of DSTB, Very Small Site Design (VSSD), Surge Kits, Executive Communication Kits, NMCI-managed encryption device at other sites, and any future solutions that use crypto devices.
•Oversee the deployment of equipment (configure, installing, cabling, keying) to include new projects, and tech refresh, for crypto connected to NMCI, including equipment under Government safeguard.

•Manage submitted requests using Request for Crypto Form are in compliance with the DON for the designated COMSEC POC for cryptographic equipment for deployments, repairs, and upgrades, tracking the order to delivery.

•Manage firmware upgrades for crypto connected to NMCI, including equipment under Government safeguard.
•Manage and monitor active encryption devices (in-network or accessed from outside the network) utilizing DoD authorized management monitoring tool(s).


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of overall relevant experience.

•Specific experience in the support of multi-vendor network systems.

•Demonstrated experience managing Electronic Key Management Systems and managing the configuration, deployment, repair, key exchange, and order tracking of cryptographic equipment.

•Experience utilizing DoD authorized cryptographic key management monitoring tools.

•Currently possess a DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•Prior Navy NGEN or NMCI experience.

•Current TS/SCI level clearance or higher.
