Job Description:
As part of an Agile Team, this role designs, develops, and maintains software applications using a tailored SAFe Agile DevSecOps Scrum process. This role uses best practices and patterns to perform design, development using Java, Springboot, Hibernate. An individual in this role is also expected to perform automated testing and unit testing using Katalon and JUnit, while performing automated deployments of software modules using a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools pipeline. Duties also include participating in daily scrums, performing software requirements analysis, risk identification, risk mitigation, and collaboration across Agile teams. Flexible cross-training to also provide systems engineering, software development, training, security, and testing is also desired.
Participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing by accessing current and legacy proprietary Palantir products, tools, and system configuration (Foundry, Gotham and the like) on prem and in the cloud.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies
- Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using Java, Hibernate, SpringBoot developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon
- Participate in the development of documentation.
- Coordinate closely with customers, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional areas to communicate project statuses and initiatives.
- Analyze data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
- Support the Agile software development life-cycle.
- Use of industry leading tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting, Java, JavaScript, Oracle, Spring, Tomcat, Git and HTML.
- Must have experience with Web Services and some DevSecOps experience.
- Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leverage GitFlow constructs
- Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.
- Develop and execute project plans. Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
- Apply best practices and standard operating procedures
- Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in current and legacy Palantir products including systems and configuration settings.
- Systems programming experience with strong proficiency in Golang, Java, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of API design concepts and standards (REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Proficient with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practices
- In-depth use and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Java
- In-depth experience in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
- Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as Junit
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo
- Experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Experience with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Well versed with using version control systems
- Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems
- Experience in AWS Data management services (Elastic, Map Reduce, Lambda, and Kinesis)
- Experience with SAFe development practices
- Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement using Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot/Spring, Hibernate, C++, Angular, Joomla and Bootstrap
- Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon
- Responsible for leveraging extensive knowledge of cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS)
- Experience with NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, Spark, Tableau, Elastic Search, Nagios, reactsJS, UIBootstrap, Katalon and Human Centered Design.
- Candidate must have Bachelors with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Candidate must an active TS/SCI with a polygraph.
Candidate must be US Citizen.

- Experience in AWS Data management services (Elastic Map Reduce, Lambda, Kinesis)
- Experience with SAFe development practices
- Support current and legacy Palantir products and access, update and modify Palantir proprietary systems and configuration settings.
