Leidos is seeking a Java Software Developer in Fairfax, VA, to support the development and maintenance of DOJ (DEASOD) applications and infrastructure.
The Java Developer must have the ability to work in an environment where creativity and adaptation to change is required, have good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with co-workers, team leads, and program management at various levels.
In addition, the Developer will:
Participate in the full software development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters.
Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer first.
Additional skills such as Apache Tomcat, Glassfish, HTML, JSP, XML, C#, Swing, SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows Server, and Visual Studio are optional.
MUST POSSESS ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
Requires: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years relevant software development experience, or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years relevant software development experience. An additional 4 years of experience and/or relevant certifications experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Must be proficient in Java.
Experience in multiple programming languages and a desire to learn new ones. Knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols Experience with various web technologies and protocols Desired Experience: Previous work with the Department of Justice (DOJ)
