Job Description:

You will be working on a high priority government system, on a high- energy team with technical challenges of interest for all.

Development environment is primarily a Java-centric J2EE XML shop.  Unix/Linux, Java, Eclipse, XML, XSD, XSLT, a large database and repository.  There are C/C++ components as well

  • Unix/Linux/Windows
  • 10 TB Oracle database
  • Eclipse IDE
  • IBM WebSphere Portal
  • XML Schema, XSL Stylesheets
  • Java, Javascript, HTML, Jython, J2EE
  • Web Services via Service Oriented Architecture
  • Oracle Databases/SQL (10 Terabyte database)
  • Agile Design Methodology, 7Rational ClearCase or ClearQuest

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of developers of 10 – 15 developers
  • Optimize and maintain legacy systems
  • Gather user requirements and identify new features
  • Conduct unit, SAT, and integration testing
  • Execute transmittals and packages
  • Coordinate with DBA to assist in design and modification of database, and resolution of issues as needed

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications Hands on experience with SQL, Oracle, and DB2
  • Familiarity working with .Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and XML
  • An ability to understand user requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant experience - 8 years of working with large scale/systems of systems/portfolio systems integration programs
  • BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field
