The Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation is seeking a Cybersecurity Governance Task Lead, contingent upon contract award, in Washington, DC.

Job Description:

The Cybersecurity Governance Task Lead will report to the Governance and Risk Compliance (GRC) Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager in support of the Office of Information Security (OIS) GRC Division and the Office of the Cybersecurity Division. The GRC Division establishes and maintains strategies for ensuring compliance with guiding cybersecurity laws and mandates; measures and reports compliance with cybersecurity requirements; ensures department maintains a risk posture within established risk tolerances; develops cybersecurity policies, processes, standards and guidance; and deploys awareness training, and engagement strategies and materials. The Cybersecurity Governance Task Lead will support the GRC Deputy Program Manager and GRC Program Manager in leading the contractor staff in their assigned duties to assist in GRC activities.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Will be responsible for FISMA and NIST compliance as it relates to policy, strategic plans and overall direction; 
  • Preparation of all program reporting including task management, funding and expenditure, risk Management, staffing, performance requirements, and quality assurance among other required reporting that may be needed;
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with functional team leads and customer as required;
  • Evaluating, monitoring, or confirming compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards or procedures associated with all aspects of project;   
  • Provide leadership and supervision of contractor staff supporting the following GRC activities:
    • Enterprise Cybersecurity Governance - Policy Support Services:
      • Enterprise Policy Metrics and Reporting;
      • Enterprise Policy Customer Service and Meeting Support;
      • Enterprise Policy Training and Communications;
      • Enterprise Governance Tool Management and Communications;
    • Enterprise Cybersecurity Governance - Cybersecurity Training and Awareness Support Services:
      • Instructional Systems Design (Training Courses);
      • Communications, Metrics and Outreach;
      • Training, Awareness, Policy, and Procedure Management.

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:

BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field and 5-8 years’ experience.

  • ISSO/ISSM-type (information assurance) experience leading and performing cybersecurity governance, risk and compliance activities in support of a large organization, including awareness and compliance training;
  • Interpreting policy to develop standards, procedures, and guidelines;
  • Experience integrating cybersecurity risk management program into an enterprise-wide risk management (ERM) framework;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Splunk Enterprise and Enterprise Security, and RSA Archer;
  • Experience in developing and providing compliance training;
  • Possess at least one industry recognized cybersecurity certification, preferred; CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCTI, GNFA, GCFE, GSLC, CISSP-ISSMP;Posi
  • Position is located in the National Capital Region, downtown Washington, DC.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using or managing a program with the RSA Archer Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool suite
  • Splunk certification(s).
