The Leidos Defense Group has an immediate and exciting opportunity for a Cloud Solutions Architect in San Antonio, Texas.
This position is in support of the Air Force Personnel Operation Activity contract at Randolph AFB which is transferring all the systems from a large physical data center into a cloud (AWS) environment.
The Cloud Solutions Architect candidate will report to the Operations Manager with close coordination with the DevOps manager to provide security and engineering solutions for the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Commercial and GovCloud environments.
The candidate shall analyze complex designs and configurations, test, deploy, and cut-over developed solutions within agreed upon service levels.
Collaborate with systems engineers using AWS native services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage (S3) and Amazon Simple DB/RDS data bases, AWS Identity and Access Management IAM.
Responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
Analyzes complex applications, databases, applications and user interfaces to test, deploy, and cut-over and maintain the required solution.
Provides technical planning, system-network design, development and integration, verification and validation.
Implements cyber engineering specializations that align here include but are not limited to; Cloud Security, Identity & Access Management, Platform Security, Network Security and Operational Technology Security.
Develops technical program documentation such as end-user operational instructions, software descriptions, interface documents, and data migration documents.
Work closely with IA to analyze security requirements, PII, accreditations and/or other concerns.
Analysis and computational skills; ability to create original concepts/theories.
Ability to develop, test, implement and maintain complex applications and databases.
Ability to work as part of a small team and communicate technical details a manner that non-technical customer staff will understand concepts and objectives.
Bachelors in Technical Specialty and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelors,
or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Must have an active Secret Clearance.
Must be US Citizen.
At least 4 years of experience working with design and implementation of systems and applications at Amazon Web Services (AWS)—an AWS certification desired.
Must have an active Security + (DoD 8570 series IAT Level II Certification) before hiring.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification.
