The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Training Readiness and Exercise (TREX) Planner to work in our Alexandria, Virginia office. This is an exciting opportunity to help the Army National Guard (ARNG) G-2 develop military intelligence (MI) training curriculum for the 54 States and Territories.
The TREX Planner will help develop and deliver multiple intelligence discipline (i.e., human intelligence (HUMINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), imagery intelligence (IMINT), measurement and signatures intelligence (MASINT), and open source intelligence (OSINT)) and language Programs of Instruction. The successful candidate will also oversee MI training programs, devices, materials, content, curriculum, and reports for ARNG projects, systems, subsystems, hardware, software, and processes. Training methods include Mobile Training Teams (MTTs), classroom/virtual environments, interactive multimedia, and other types of content as dictated by ARNG G-2 program requirements.
The TREX Planner will develop, integrate, and support training aids/devices, system/computer resource training (SIM enabled and/or resident) for end user training. The TREX Planner shall coordinate and manage CONUS and OCONUS training for DoD/ARNG intelligence systems, or previously developed and fielded intelligence systems and other capabilities as required.
Primary Responsibilities
The TREX Planner shall interface with senior-level state leaders and ARNG G-2 leadership for intelligence readiness, training strategies, and complex multi-partner exercises. The TREX Planner shall provide guidance, management, policy translation, and intelligence curriculum support. The TREX Planner shall also work in concert with other DoD organizations for intelligence input to Programs of Instruction, training requirements, and state and national level evaluation exercises.
Basic Qualifications
It is required that the TREX Planner has the following qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of ten years’ experience in Intelligence Operations, Data Science, Cyber Operations, Intelligence Collection, or Intelligence Exploitation.
- Possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI) at time of proposal submission.
- Possess a minimum of ten years’ experience in areas that include developing training materials, SOPs, and user guides, and classroom instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
It is desired that the TREX Planner has the following qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of five years’ experience conducting joint exercise support at one of the DoD’s Major Commands, e.g., SOCOM, CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, AFRICOM, TRANSCOM, NORTHCOM, and SOUTHCOM.
- Possess a minimum of five years’ experience developing training products, participating in training product development sessions, instructing training classes, and understanding the training Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process concepts.
