Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking Actuator Engineers in Huntsville, AL. These positions will support missile control actuation systems leading to production of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB). Specific duties may encompass the production and test of flight hardware including power amplifiers, feedback systems, controllers, electric actuators, and mechanical linkages. Support for test fixtures capable of emulating hinge moment loading effects. Work with high current switching circuits, H bridges, synchro/resolvers, and back EMF protection circuitry. Work with structural design team to insure drive line components are built to specification and inspected/tested for compliance. Review HGB system documentation including drawings, test procedures, and work instructions to assess elevon actuator system design. Assist in procurement preparation from component manufactures including parts management, quality documentation and test requirements. Provide supplier surveillance during manufacturing and testing. Support development of test equipment and test processes as well as review of test data to include setup/operation of test fixtures and data acquisition equipment to collect test data. Support component installation and testing during production process including work instructions, troubleshooting, and onsite repairs/rework.
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience (additional experience, education or training will be considered)
- Experience with missile actuator systems
- Experience with electronic/mechanical design and manufacturing
- Experience with testing and analyzing actuators
- Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of HGB
- US Citizenship as well as the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance
- Current active DoD Secret clearance
- Electronics/avionics/environmental testing experience
