Leidos has an opening for an on-site project manager to support EPA’s NAREL (National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory located on Maxwell AFB located in Montgomery, AL. Leidos has been providing all facets of IT support from System Administration to Desktop support for the past two decade. Recently, one of the two networks which Leidos support was designated as a Critical Infrastructure Key Resource (CIKR). Due to this change additional monitoring and oversight is required, based on the new policies and guidance from OMB. This is an exciting position allowing the individual to work closely EPA scientists’ and IT personnel in their mission of providing radiological monitoring data to support rulemaking and Emergency Response activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining system logs and configuration change logs;
- Maintaining system performance and utilization statistics for eCPIC reporting;
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for routine and repetitive computing functions;
- Support the development, administration and testing of disaster recovery and contingency plans
- Assist with testing and documenting software changes per Federal Guidelines.
- Monitor and track service tickets to provide trend analysis of system status for OMB reporting
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree, with a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience. Familiarity with scientific and information technology terminology is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OMB (Office of Management & Budget) CPIC (Capital Planning and Investment Control) process is a plus.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Due to contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status is required.
