Job Description:

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking Flight Termination Engineers in Huntsville, AL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Handle all aspects of flight termination systems (FTS) and range safety of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB).  The candidate will support assessment and design of FTS test equipment, review HGB system documentation to assess application specific FTS circuitry, and flight termination receiver testing in accordance with RCC-313.  Candidate will review and modify FTS related work instructions in support of HGB production to include resolving data gaps and deriving requirements.  Support testing of Autonomous Flight Safety System related equipment.  Assist in procurement preparation for component manufactures to include parts management, quality, documentation, and test requirements.  Provide supplier surveillance during HGB production and testing and manage non-compliance reports.  Support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review test data to include setup/operation of test equipment and possible testing at environmental test labs. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering combined with 10+ years of relevant experience 
  • Experience with RCC-313, RCC-319, RCC-321, and RCC-324
  • Experience with flight termination receivers, safety systems, power systems and RF systems
  • Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of HGB flight computer components
  • US Citizenship required as is the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Current active DoD Secret clearance
  • Electronics/avionics/environmental testing experience
