More About the Role:
The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within Leidos is seeking an Asset Manager to provide support on a mission-critical program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States.
As the Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of assets (hardware and software) utilized across the PSPD program.
What You'll Get to Do:
The successful Asset Manager shall:
·Establish processes and set-up configuration tool(s) to ensure contractual compliance associated with the effective tracking and management of both hardware and software assets utilized by the program.
·Conduct internal audits of assets to ensure compliance with asset management requirements and assist with audits of assets conducted by CBP.
·Assist other members of the infrastructure team with troubleshooting of program team members ‘work stations and other common hardware assets such as printers.
·Coordinate with field technicians and O&M managers to ensure that specialized equipment in the field is maintained sufficiently and replaced, repaired, maintained, overhauled, or retired.
·Provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.
·Prepare configuration documentations and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database.
·Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes.
·Maintain data quality, integrity and security of CM database.
·Schedule audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
·Develop security guidelines to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items
·Work with configuration teams in development and enhancement of CM tools.
·Assist in management, maintenance and automating of CM tools.
·Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables.
·Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments.
·Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.
·Coordinate with other CBP IT organizations responsible for management of cloud based resources.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
·BA degree and 8-12 years or prior relevant experience or Master’s degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience
·5+ years of experience performing asset management for large IT programs to include development of processes, configuration of asset management tool(s), and support of government audits.
·Prior experience assisting team members with resolving workstation and other hardware asset problems.
· Strong communication and writing skills
·Ability to obtain a Public Trust suitability determination.

·Active CBP BI.
·Experience with CBP.
