The Defense Group at Leidos has an immediate opening for a Network Engineer to join the team in Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Performs network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks; Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents; Implements communication system requirements to support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment; Analyzes network characteristics (e.g. understanding routers and switches, installing and maintaining security patches on servers, CISCO ISE. Experience with in-depth protocol analysis with tcpdump and F5 load balancers, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
•Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain; additional experience in lieu of degree.
•Certification in routing such as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
•CWIP Yrs Experience: IAT 3+ Recommended CWIP Level: IAT 2.
•Excellent Communication skills and strong work ethic.
•Required Certifications: Security+ required
•Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI Clearance
