The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Lead Network Architect to work in our Reston, Virginia office. This is an exciting opportunity to help the Army National Guard implement new intelligence systems and improve its enterprise-level architecture.
Primary Responsibilities
The Lead Network Architect shall manage and assess network architecture and infrastructure, provide feedback and capability exploration for intelligence system design and implementation. The Lead Network Architect shall provide the ARNG G-2 leadership with recommendations, best practices, and supported site evaluations on new and emerging intelligence systems. The Lead Network Architect shall engage and collaborate with data scientists, network administrators, industry leaders, industry IT leaders, and IC/DoD partners to assist in the development intelligence network/system objectives, application identification, and implementation. The Lead Network Architect shall assist in determining the best solution needed to address the gaps, overlaps, and any possible duplication of effort at state and enterprise-level infrastructure. This includes synchronization of IT strategy and planning for existing and future IT goals to include promotion of shared applications and infrastructure to cut expenditures and enhance the flow of information using big data analytics.
Basic Qualifications
It is required that the Lead Network Architect has the following qualifications:
a. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
b. Bachelor’s degree in a related business or technical discipline.
c. Possess a minimum of ten years’ experience in military intelligence systems, information security, security and risk management.
d. Possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI) at time of proposal submission.
Preferred Qualifications
It is desired that the Lead Network Architect has the following qualifications:
a. Master’s degree in a related business or technical discipline.
b. Possess a minimum of five years’ experience in multi-intelligence disciplines (i.e., Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Counterintelligence (CI), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)) in support of Cyber Operations, Information Operations or Special Operations.
c. One or more of the following IT certifications: CompTIA A+ Technician, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Network+, and Security+.
