The Threat Finance Intelligence Analyst will concentrate on threat finance-focused data and will scan, review, and evaluate open source, intelligence reporting, and financial/transactional data to create all-source analytic products. The analyst will extract and evaluate corporate and finance data to formulate analytical arguments, develop metrics for discerning changes, and establish trends that impact threat finance analysis. The position requires attending meetings with and providing briefings to a variety of government agencies. The analyst will liaise with data providers in other intelligence agencies to coordinate information acquisition activities, validate and identify new sources of information, and provide assistance in developing intelligence community reports. The analyst will provide client support, including but not limited to meeting client inquiries, delivering ad hoc reporting, advising on analytic best practices, and participating in working groups. The analyst will be expected to interact professionally with clients and respond quickly to their requests, while engaging with the entire project team in a professional manner.
Conduct quantitative-focused analysis of threat-finance related data to draft and support All-Source production in compliance with ODNI ICD 203 Tradecraft Standards.
Liaise between various consumers and producers of threat finance-relevant data.
Research, identify, and test new opportunities for technology relevant to data processing and visualization
Respond to Requests for Information
Produce all-source analytic products that meet analytic tradecraft standards through the fusing of classified intelligence with public and open source information.
The analyst must be able to analyze and evaluate large volumes of finance-related data and intelligence materials using quantitative and innovative analytic methods.
The analyst must have strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail with proficiency using open source and research database tools and the ability to incorporate multiple data streams into a single deliverable.
The analyst must have a demonstrated ability to conduct research to develop and support briefs, reports, and other written/oral intelligence products.
The analyst must work well in a team environment and be proactive in developing new projects and approaches.
The analyst must have a working knowledge of the Intelligence Community and their reporting methods.
The analyst must have experience with a message handling systems and the MS Office suite.
The analyst must have at least four to eight years of experience in federal and/or commercial space.
The analyst must be comfortable with social network analysis, understand relational databases, and be comfortable working within a data-heavy environment.
The analyst must have a TS/SCI clearance and be able to pass a counter-intelligence polygraph.
The analyst must be comfortable communicating with leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
Working knowledge/technically skilled in using and manipulating relational databases such as SQL, or scripting languages such as Python or R.
Familiarity with the finance industry and anti-money laundering best practices and compliance.
Education: BA/BS degree desired with 2 to 4 years relevant experience or MA degree with 2 years relevant experience.
