Job Description:

The Leidos Defense Group has an immediate career opportunity for a Cloud Systems Administrator/Engineer in San Antonio, Texas.

This position is in support of the Air Force Personnel Operation Activity contract at Randolph AFB which is transferring all personnel systems from a large physical data center into a cloud (AWS) environment.  The Sys Admin will work with other system administrators, engineers, and cyber security professionals to build and sustain a virtual data center supporting human resources applications across the entire Air Force.

Primary Responsibilities:
Experience working with managing Windows and Linux servers.
Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies (AWS).
Data and application backups, Information Systems disaster recovery efforts, and Information Systems vulnerability scanning and mitigation.
Provide hardware and software installation, configuration, and testing.
Aid engineering staff with hardware, software, and project specific system support.
Provide input, response, and completion when applicable to Information Systems data-call audits.
Implement DoD mandated security configurations (STIGS).
Installing and maintaining security patches on servers.
Running ACAS Scans.
Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation for standard systems operating procedures to be used across the enterprise.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 4-years relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelors'
or Masters degree and 2-6 years relevant experience.
Hands-on experience conducting system administration on Linux/Windows Servers and security monitoring equipment.
AWS experience.
Active Secret Clearance required at time of hire.
Must be US Citizen.
Must have Security + CE (DoD 8570 series IAT Level II Certification) before hiring.

Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Server experience (2012 & 2016) and certifications.
Red Hat Linux experience ver7+ and certifications.
Microsoft Windows Active Directory Management.
Domain Name Server Administration.
Network Monitoring tools (Splunk, ACAS, HBSS, Software Center Configuration Manager).
Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.
AWS certification.
