Job Description:

Leidos has a potential opening for Program Coordinator to support the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) Experimental Therapeutics Branch. The Program Coordinator will assist with the design of in vitro and in vivo experiments including, but not limited to recommendations for dosing levels and calculation of compound requirements for in vitro and in vivo experiments. Must possess knowledge of small molecule synthesis timeframes in order to efficiently plan for compound assessment in a defined testing paradigm.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) coordinator in any Experimental Therapeutics-related IPT as well as working groups, as needed. Will coordinate compound assessment with the Principal Investigator(s) including using the LIMS, scheduling in vitro and in vivo studies, ensuring delivery of compounds to testing labs, compiling data, and reporting results. Assists with meetings and the organization of studies and collaborations involving Experimental Therapeutics, other WRAIR branches and outside organizations. Assist with the design and preparation of Decision Gate-required deliverables of the working group or IPT. Responsible for tracking and assisting with project accounting and planning for future project requirements including requesting and preparing supply and equipment purchase documents for approval by the COR and Experimental Therapeutics leadership. Analyze and summarize experimental data for reports, presentations, and publications. Research, write, and submit grant proposals for funding in support of the Experimental Therapeutics mission. Publish (as needed) the in vivo schedule in support of the Experimental Therapeutics Branch and other divisions within the WRAIR.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS Degree in a scientific or related discipline and 5 or more years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in scientific program/project management to include cost, schedule, and performance
  • Demonstrated expertise in database software including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and/or browser based Laboratory Information Management Systems;
  • Demonstrated experience researching, writing, and/or submitting grant proposals to include budgets
    • Possess or have ability to obtain Secret Clearance
    • Must be US Citizen
