The Leidos Innovations Center has an exciting opening for you, our next Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), to ensure our clients’ systems meet a variety of regulatory compliance frameworks to support the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) program working in Bethesda, MD.  D3P is a next generation machine learning pipeline platform providing cutting edge data enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community members.  

As our ISSO you will play a vital role collaborating as part of a cross-functional Agile team to create and enhance data ingestion pipelines and addressing big data challenges of internal NMEC and external government stakeholders. This exciting and challenging work will help you expand your capabilities in security and will provide you with the skills and experience you need to achieve additional levels of the DoD 8570 IASAE Certifications. If you enjoy variety and challenge in the workday, you will thrive in this environment where security solutions must support highly secure, scalable, and interoperable platform designs.

You will work closely with the chief architect, systems engineers, software and data engineers, and data scientists on the following key tasks:
•    Perform review and analysis of security event logs
•    Review technical security assessments
•    Coordinate with the security personnel and recommend mitigation strategies
•    Identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with established cybersecurity standards and regulations
•    Manage and maintain a library of security audit tools, and corresponding processes that can be used for system security testing, internal audits, incident response, and diagnosis of security-related system issues
•    Perform and maintain vulnerability scans using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and create reports
•    Track and report Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
•    Maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) records in XACTA system
•    Manage and report Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) compliance

To be successful in this role you need these skills (required):
•    An active TS/SCI clearance 
•    Requires BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience 
•    DoD 8570 IASAE certification
•    3+ years of experience developing and reviewing security concept of operations, systems security plans, security risk assessments, contingency plans, configuration management plans
•    Experience configuring, running, and analyzing Nessus scans
•    Experience with XACTA, EMass, or similar tool
•    Experience with NIST Special Publications e.g. NIST SP 800-27, 30, 37, 53, 60
•    Experience with CNSS publication CNSSI 1253
•    Experience with incident response plans, plan of actions and milestones, risk management plans, and vulnerability management plans
•    Strong analytical, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with frequent change
