Leidos is seeking an JJunior Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) located in Beavercreek, OH.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented Junior Software Engineer with a specialization in test to join our Streaming Video Team. He or she will work to enhance the quality of our best-in-class live streaming video applications and services, which are in active use by our global customers. Our SDETs are charged with the vital role of proving that our software is safe, reliable, and performant. We tackle problems like ensuring delivery consistency over unstable UDP networks or assessing accuracy in the display of corrupted video. If you join us, you'll meet these responsibilities with the latest in development and automation. This opportunity is located in Dayton, OH.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Develop sophisticated automated testing for some of the hardest problems in the industry.
-Work directly on the core engineering team for products in active deployment around the world.
-Develop, maintain, and extend the test automation infrastructure.
-Execute functional, system, regression, and performance testing.
-Help drive towards our goal of 100% code coverage.
-Other assigned tasks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Recent BS graduate with a Computer Science or related discipline with an accredited college or university with an average 3.0 GPA.
-2 or more years of combined software development experience, including internships, course work, or hobby projects.
-Prior development experience in C, C++, Java, and/or JavaScript.
-Familiarity with common software test tools such as JUnit, SoapUI, Selenium, Cucumber, and TestComplete.
-Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
-The ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. 
-U.S. Citizenship required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience working with developers and traditional testers to valididate components of a software suite.
- Prior experience executing manual integration and release test procedures.
- An understanding of the theory and practice of both test driven development and behavior driven development.
- Experience with data delivery over ureliable networks, ideally streaming video.
