The Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Branch of the Leidos Innovation Center (LInC) is looking for you, our next Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Engineer to support NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) in Huntsville, AL. We are looking for you to provide insight and oversight regarding interfaces, requirements, and verification between the SLS Core Stage and Upper Stage. The insight and oversight will be focused on GN&C aspects of the integration, such as trajectories, stage performance, and mission analysis. Tasks will include coordination with technical experts from GN&C and related disciplines; evaluating vendor-supplied data and documentation to assess compliance with requirements and verification objectives; and performing independent analyses to validate expected performance. If you are a Subject Matter Expert in any of these tasks then we want you on our team!
Skills you need to be successful in this role:
• Bachelors Degree with 12+ years’ applicable experience
• Experience with program integration; requirements development and management; and verification and validation
• Experience in multiple GN&C disciplines, including flight mechanics, orbital mechanics, guidance, navigation, and control
You will wow us even more if you have these skills:
• Masters Degree with 10+ years’ experience
• Ph.D. with 8+ years’ experience
• Ability to collaborate while representing the customer at meetings with contractors and other government agencies
• Degree(s) from an ABET-accredited (preferred) university in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related fields
