Leidos is looking for a qualified candidate to join our team in our Houston, TX office at Johnson Space Center, Flight Operations Directorate, in the Flight Integrations Division (FOD).
The ideal candidate will Software Test Integration across all of the Flight Operations Directorate supporting Flight Production and Test Office (CK4).
The candidate must demonstrate the abilities to:
- Conduct various types of software testing such as:
o Software transition testing
o Software patch testing
o Pre Position Load (PPL) testing
o Timeliner verification and validation certification testing
o Visiting Vehicle End to End testing
o Command Build activities
o Procedure verification
o Operational Readiness Tests (ORTs)
- Conduct the Certification Process of the Common Display Development Team display testing
- CK4 representative to the Timeliner Operations Review Panel
- Support to various Joint Operations Panel meetings for topics pertaining to testing activities
- Coordinate Schedule Issue/change Forms
- Flight Production Manager
- Maintain CK4 Plan Train Fly – Objectives, Configuration & Requirements (PTF OCR) Database
- Provide CK4 Test Metrics for PIMR (Process Integrity Metrics Review)
- Develop work instructions and other required documentation
- Other tasks as assigned
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, technical, and administrative skills are mandatory.
Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and coordinate a wide range of tasks.
BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Bachelors of Science Degree, in Engineering (ABET), Mathematics, Physics, or in a similar field of study.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to progress through a flight controller certification.
Candidate must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Candidate must be able to support infrequent travel domestically and internationally.
Candidate should be a self-starter who excels in a dynamic environment that requires him/her to work effectively both alone or as part of a team.
Candidate must be able to apply technical knowledge and operations concepts to exercise effective decision making and initiative in a real-time and fast-paced operational environment.
Shift work (nights, weekends, and holidays) is required.
This position requires successful completion of a government background check before commencement of employment.
Working knowledge of NASA flight operations processes, software delivery process, software test integration, the FOD organization, and Mission Control Center (MCC) operations are highly desired.
Experience integrating across multiple areas, leading teams, negotiating win-win solutions, working well in the team environment, and customer service is required.
Prior experience supporting software testing in the MCC and knowledge of Timeliner Bundles and MCC21 is a plus.
Attention to detail is required along with the ability to work/negotiate with multiple customers across NASA, ISS International Partners, and other customers on a daily basis.
This position requires strict adherence to deadlines, as well as, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A high level of proficiency using Excel is highly desired.
