Are you a Senior Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Developer willing to work on site at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama supporting our LInC Group at Leidos? This is an opportunity to use your skills to further the goals of NASA as they develop and refine GNC algorithms for use in the Space Launch System constellation of rockets. You will work with a dedicated modeling and simulation team analyzing SLS launch vehicles’ GNC performance. You will work to optimize launch trajectories and will analyze reentry performance to meet range safety requirements. If you enjoy the idea of modeling and analyzing complex launch and on-orbit vehicles for NASA then we want you on our team.
Fun stuff on the job you will do:
- Development and analysis of 6-Degree-Of_Freedom (6-DOF) launch vehicle simulations
- Support Range Safety analysts for launch abort cases, reentry footprint designation, etc.
- Simulate and report on a variety of trajectory-related “what if” cases
To be successful in this role you need these skills (required):
- Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or related field with 10+ years’ experience
- Experience in 6-DOF development for launch vehicles and/or missiles
- C/C++ experience

- Masters or Ph.D in engineering or related field
- MATLAB/SIMULINK experience
- Ability to collaborate while representing the customer at meetings with contractors and other government agencies
