Job Description:
Leidos currently has an opening for a Java Software Developer to work at company offices in Sterling, Virginia with occasional travel to the Pentagon for client meetings and systems access. This is an exciting opportunity to use your engineering experience helping a team of contractor and government personnel support the Air Force in developing and managing technology systems. This DoD-wide program enables compliance with U.S. Government, foreign government, and civil aviation authority policy, requirements, and procedures for DoD personnel and aircraft when they travel to foreign locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will be working with a team of software developers, document editors, service center staff and DoD personnel to operate, maintain, and continuously improve software applications that support the DoD Foreign Clearance Program. These web-based applications and related on-line data bases and documents enable DoD personnel and aircraft travel clearance workflow and critical information sharing processes to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign government travel policy and procedures. Responsibilities include design-development-deployment-maintenance of software applications and collaboration with project team personnel on software planning, operations and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5+ year’s relevant experience.
- Experience with Oracle database and JavaScript libraries.
- Final DoD Secret security clearance with ability to qualify for Top Secret.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and 2-6 years relevant experience.
- Top Secret security clearance.
- Experience with Agile Teams and scrum methodology.
- Experience with Frameworks MVC, Hibernate, and Java 8/J2EE.
- Knowledge of tools such as SVN and Maven.
