More About the Role:
The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mid-Level Security Specialist in Chesapeake, VA. This position is part of a large program supporting Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN). The candidate must possess the confidence to make decisions and learn new tasks related to Defense Program Security and implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to customer and company information. The candidate will also ensure aspects of the Leidos core capabilities are compliant.

What You'll Get to Do:
-Provide Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) support implementing and providing guidance to customers and management on security issues such as classified inventory and document control, security investigations, personnel access nominations, classification control, visitor/access control, processing employees for Common Access Card (CAC) authorization required for access to government facilities, Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254), Program Classification Guides, Intelligence Community Directives, all applicable laws and regulations regarding export-controlled information and technology and government policies.
-Duties may include studying, investigating, preparing reports and/or recommendations for preventative or corrective actions in areas requiring specific expertise including Security inquiry and incident reporting. Create training aides and provide security briefings to personnel holding collateral and SCI clearances.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires a BA degree and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent 6–10 years of Security experience.
•Must possess a TOP SECRET Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience in Industrial Security.
•Knowledge of NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, JPAS, DISS, eQIP, NISS.
•Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities.
•Professional Certifications/Affiliations.
