The Leidos team supporting the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment, and Energy (SAF/IE) currently has an opening for a Program Analyst at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This position entails document review and programmatic support for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, and requires an understanding of the organizational structure of the Department of the Air Force and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Develop, coordinate, consolidate, and maintain SAF/IE Installation Planning (SAF/IEIP) program governance and programmatic documents (e.g. Air Force Instructions, policies, records, etc.), action plan recommendations, task and inquiry responses, and issue resolution action plans.
Support environmental reviews for Air Force basing and bed down actions
Recommend policy updates in areas of Installation Planning, Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), Joint Basing, Environmental Impact Analysis (EIS), which is consistent with Executive Orders, laws, and DoD policy.
Prepare staff packages and products (e.g. staff summary sheets, presentations, spreadsheets, correspondence, background papers, talking papers, and white papers, etc.) for Senior Executive Service or General Officer, and Presidential Appointee-level audiences
Coordinate and collaborate with OSD, Joint Staff, other Service staff(s), HAF directorate(s), MAJCOM(s), Center(s), and other government offices and agencies to respond to queries, requests for information, and other support to SAF/IEI programs.
Utilize the Air Force’s Task Management Tool (TMT) to complete taskings on time for Air Force leadership approval.
Minimum 10 years of applicable experience as an analyst or program manager in a Headquarters Air Force or DoD-level program.
DoD Secret clearance.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with particular emphasis on word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and SharePoint).
Experience supporting Headquarters Air Force.
Familiarity with DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
Familiarity with the Air Force’s Task Management Tool (TMT).
Experience providing NEPA and/or Joint Basing support to the Department of Defense.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires a BA degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
