Leidos is in search of a multi-talented Instructional System Design (ISD) and Computer Based Training (CBT) Lead to join our studio with an existing team of artists, programmers, and designers creating digital training for the United States Air Force. Location is San Antonio, TX. Our client is progressive, driving the future of training in the armed forces. The selected individual will lead the ISD/CBT projects under the direction of the Studio Director and vision for the customer, the 16th Air Force, a client that has a large portfolio of training applications with goals to innovate and take this even further in the areas of ISR, aircraft, cyber subjects, and language training. The Lead will work alongside a Sr. CBT Multimedia Designer/Programmer, a digital art team, instructional designer, SME, video designer, and studio director creating first class training for Airmen. They will take requirements from the 16th Air Force, instructors, SME’s, studio director, and collaborate with the storyline 360 lead and create free standing HTML5, VR, PC applications for self-directed training as part of the Mobile Applications and Games for Intelligent Courseware (MAGIC) team.  They will be accountable for content creation, writing, development, customer interfacing, metrics, advanced learning objectives, and work deliverables leading a team of about 4 FTE.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of direct experience in the development on Instructional Training for the Department of Defense of United States Military or equivalent training expertise
  • Master level of understanding of all aspects of instructional systems design, front-end analysis, cognitive learning theory, productive failure, evidence-informed learning design, designing online learning, learning analytics, and game design for learning
  • Expertise in web based, PC, and VR platform based learning and training
  • Project management and team leadership skills
  • Military client communication skills and savvy
  • Motivated, self-directed, personable, superb written verbal communication skills
  • Technical expertise in aircraft/intelligence/cyber training solutions from documentation to delivery
  • Strong commitment to excellence, innovation, collaboration, with a lead by example work ethic
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (requires US citizenship).
