As a Tier 2 Systems Administrator, join our program to support the transformation of GEOINT data exploitation and storage among the analyst community. Develop intuitive software solutions and integrate the computer vision and structured observation management production and storage architecture with the Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise. Leidos is seeking varying experience levels for this position to include Junior, Senior, Master and SME.

We are a geographically dispersed team, primarily located in the WMA, operating in multi-level security domains, including both cloud and non-cloud environments, following the SAFe Agile methodology. Our program seeks to develop and operate at the lowest possible classification and fosters a program culture that offers the potential for flexible work schedules and telework. This position can be located in the following locations: Gaithersburg MD, Alexandria VA, Chantilly VA, or Springfield VA.

This position will work with a team to provide product capabilities for our user’s primary user experience for producing imagery-derived structure data and to enable our users to discover, access and user computer vision capabilities in their workflow.

This position provides support to our operational environments and ASP suite of capabilities, products and services. There are three shifts to cover core support hours from 0500-2100 ET, Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays. This position also provides pager support outside of core hours on a rotating schedule with the other members of the team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 operational support, to include problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems, for ASP suite of capabilities.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Provide pager support outside of core support hours

Basic Qualifications

  • Highly motivated, very detailed oriented, creative, effective, supportive, talented and a self-starter with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, independently determine the approach to fixing problems and push to closure on scheduled milestones and energetic team member who will bring true value to the organization.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Linux
  • Experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
  • Good understanding of computer systems and ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) 

• Knowledge of script writing utilizing Python, PERL, and/or Ruby

• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes

• Experience using Agile tracking tools, preferably Jira and Confluence
