The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within Leidos is seeking Software Cloud Engineer with strong systems, software, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States.
In this hands on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. In addition, you’ll support application analysis, refactoring options, and Cloud migration opportunities.
•Develop innovative approaches and solutions, using non-quantitative tools and guidelines from past experience.
•Provide execution guidance and practical engineering support to mission teams working with the strategic guidance from the Cloud Engineering Lead.

•Experience with Cloud Migration/Cloud-Native Service architectures.
•Experience using non-quantitative tools.
•Knowledge of AWS Cloud development and migrations policies.
•Extensive experience in Application migrations to Cloud with Cloud Native Patterns and provide support for Applications running in Cloud
•Experience in troubleshooting IAM Policies, Resource permissions issues during migrations of Applications
•Knowledge & demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies and practice
•Knowledge of ETL process
•Full stack development knowledge utilizing frontend frameworks such as Angular or React and web frameworks such as Django, Flask or Express.
•Experience working with AWS Services Technologies EC2, ALB/ELB, Elastic BeanStalk, ACM, RDS, S3, LAMBDA, API Gateway, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, ElastiCache, Docker and Application Runtimes
•Experience in building with Automation tools such as (Jenkins, Nexus, Maven and JUnit) as well as knowledge with CI/CD pipelines -- GitHub, Maven, Jenkin
•This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of experience; or Master's degree with 10-13 years of experience.
•10+ years of experience working with core AWS services.
•Experience with Data Modeling and Data Architecture
•Experience or familiarity with newer AWS data and analytics tools such as AWS Lake Formation and Sagemaker
•Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and technologies
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills
