Leidos Government Health & Safety Solutions has an opening for a Process Reengineering & Business Analyst Lead to work in our Atlanta office in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Leads a team of Business Analysts in eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.  Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.  Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to Reviews, analyzes, and creates detailed documentation of business systems and user needs and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.  Develops requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.  Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.  Works independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.  Drives and challenges business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.  Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.  Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.  Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.  Acts as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. 

Process Reengineering Responsibilities:

Manage use of process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects. Responsible for transitioning of existing organizations or project teams in accomplishing the organization’s goals or project activities and objectives through improved use of internet and other automated processes. Support activity and data modeling, development of modern business methods, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements. Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer. Key coordinator between customers and multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts and application of best practice including e-business practices. May provide daily supervision and direction to other business reengineering specialists. Experience analyzing and documenting current Business Processes along with suggesting Business Process improvements. Demonstrated track record of reengineering business processes and driving adoption across an organization/department. Clear understanding of business process streamlining methodologies. Has managed functional processes and policies and/or projects. Experience of implementing continuous improvement processes. Knowledge of business process modeling methodologies, notations, and relevant tools, including modeling and visualization tools, such as ARIS, System Architect, or Visio. Familiar with the concept and practice of Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

Typically requires BS degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent degrees and years of progressive experience in business improvement and performance measurement projects.

Experience in performing Product Owner role in Agile software development methods

Accredited in Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology

Previous experience with Enterprise Performance Life Cycle process

Previous working experience at CDC or other federal agencies
