The Leidos Intelligence Group requires fully cleared Personal Care Assistants (Certified Nursing Assistants) to support a rewarding and challenging opportunity in an occupational healthcare setting for an Intelligence Community (IC) customer in Northern Virginia.  There are multiple positions available and client is willing to sponsor security clearances for qualified candidates.  This is a tremendous opportunity to leverage your caregiver and medical experience in support of National Security.

Primary Responsibilities

This position requires a candidate who is experienced providing routine caregiver assistance to Federal employees with a medical or physical disability.  Examples of care include but are not limited to assisting with mobility, feeding, hygiene, dressing, using the restroom, etc.  Light administrative work is required, such as faxing documents, retrieving documents from printers, carrying documents or files, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with performing activities of daily living, for employees with disabilities (e.g., printing, faxing, feeding, personal hygiene, removing or putting on clothing, using the restroom, transporting in a wheelchair, escorting around the office, etc.)
  • Provides services to individuals in order to complete daily tasks in a safe and professional manner
  • Provides support, encouragement and companionship by engaging individuals in activities
  • Documents services delivered in accordance with policy and procedure
  • May be expected to perform some administrative duties as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Competencies:

  • Ability to read, write, and analyze/evaluate charts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree, Nursing Assistant training, or similar course work is required
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Personal Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Professional Caregiver, or equivalent is required
  • Top Secret SCI with polygraph clearance is required

While the position is planned to report to a McLean, Virginia office, candidate may be asked to travel via Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) to alternate locations in the region as part of their normal duties.  Should this occur POV mileage/tolls/parking will be reimbursed. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Top Secret SCI with polygraph clearance is required
  • Associate’s degree, Nursing Assistant Training, or similar equivalent education/training is required
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to interact effectively with various clientele
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to multi task
  • Ability to work well under pressure with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve

Preferred Qualifications

List additional skills and experience that is “nice to have” but not required. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • IC or other Federal occupational healthcare experience
