Job Description:
The Mission Solutions Group at Leidos was recently awarded a government contract with a classified customer in the National Capital Region which requires a PCB Design Technician. The candidate has experience with printed circuit board design. The candidate must also have knowledge of equipment, assembly components and processes. The candidate must be able to interface with procurement to define specific components and materials required, and the associated timelines. The candidate must also be able to train team members on design processes and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage associated component files.
Document PCB design and assembly procedures.
Verify parts are created in compliance with sponsor’s standards and preferences
Maintain a safe operating environment in the shop and work closely with the safety officer to adhere to OSHA and EPA regulations.
Provide direction for officer training.
Maintain/enhance shop documentation and processes.
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required 5% of the time.
Basic Qualifications
2 years experience using Altium Concord Pro electronic components library software and Altium Designer software
Knowledge of how to use Mentor Graphics DXDesigner schematic software and the Mentor Graphics PADS layout tool suite
Ability to manage a team and be the focal point for PCB Design
Demonstrated experience with printed circuit board fabrication and assembly
Demonstrated ability to maintain PCB assembly equipment, software and supplies
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing requirements, work as part of a team, including strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
At least 1 year of experience working with the Customer
Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. Work experience can be used in lieu of degree.
