The Airborne Solutions & Analytics group within Defense had a dynamic opportunity for a Logistics Manager located at our Aberdeen, MD location. In this role, you will plan, develop, and execute logistics program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product.

You will implement Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) functions such as, data analysis to reduce unscheduled maintenance/downtime and obsolescence management to mitigate risk, outline risk methods, and identify items with low, medium, high, and very high risk of impact to the program. This position also supports reliability and maintainability analysis, which influences the ability to perform the intended mission and affects the overall mission success. In addition, this position has Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities as they relate to personnel, and the development/management of Bills Of Material (BOMs) as they relate to Basis Of Estimates.

Primary Responsibilities

-Implement cross-functional coordination between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Information Assurance, and Parts Management to reduce total sustainment cost, and improve overall system readiness.

-Coordinate efforts of subcontractors and field service personnel, resolve logistics problems, and compile data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities.

-Monitor orders and repair inductions to ensure delivery within average turn-around-time or POP (Period of Performance)

-Monitor and report delivery of materials to ensure performance to contract.

-Maintain responsibility for each individual Control Account representing work assigned to your organizational work team for a single CWBS element.

-Ensure work is planned, budgeted, and scheduled in time-phased increments; taking into consideration risk, assumptions, and uncertainties.

-Provides a forward looking view of where the program is heading along with metrics and tools to assist in getting there on time and on budget

-Enable program management to determine what course correction is needed to complete project within cost, schedule, and delivery requirements

-Lead a team of 10+ reports in a fast paced dynamic environment

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

-Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or a Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.

-A DoD clearance is not required to start, a final Secret is required

-In order to obtain a Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship is one of many requirements: Are you a U.S. Citizen?

-10% CONUS travel required

-3+ years of supervising experience or leading teams or projects.

-Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
