Leidos Corporate Group has an immediate opening for a Senior Splunk Engineer to join our CIO Services team. In this role, you will provide overall engineering and design support for a very large distributed Splunk environment, spanning security, performance, and operational roles. Additionally, you will support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, documentation, and implementation following defined best practices and operational workflows. You will work with other Engineering team members and will be required to interact with end users to gather requirements and perform troubleshooting. Furthermore, you should be able to handle seldom, barely defined, and unusual job events.
Ideally, we would like this role to be supported from Orlando - FL, but we will consider 100% telecommute for the right person.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years’ experience in the Information Technology field, including at least 3 years of prior experience in Splunk Engineering role. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ Years experience in Linux and SQL/ODBC interfaces
- 2+ Years experience in app interface development using REST API’s and in regular expressions
- Experience with Project Management, as well as ITIL Change & Configuration Management
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance
- Experience in other systems and network management products
- Current or former completed Splunk training
