The QRC AISR Group based out of Bridgewater, VA currently has an opening for an Airborne Sensor Operator supporting an ISR program based OCONUS. Leidos is providing subject matter expertise for a manned aerial platform providing IR imagery data for both real-time and after-action analysis. The ASO will be responsible to collect and provide limited analysis of IR imagery while safely and effectively functioning as an aircrew member on a multi-position aircraft.
The ASO will be required to execute all assigned preflight, flight and post flight duties as required to safely and effectively operate the assigned sensor and mission set. This includes, mission planning, pre-briefings, mission system inspection, operation, troubleshooting, post-flight inspections, debriefings and mission documentation. The ASO may also assist with performing sensor upgrades and maintenance.
To be considered for this position candidates must:
• BA degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Be willing to deploy for rotations of at least 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations as directed by the Government customer.
• Must have a current / valid U.S. passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
• Be willing to travel for long periods of time, work long hours and / or non-regular hours with minimal notice.
• Have an active Secret clearance.
• Be willing to fly in the airborne system for extended times and be willing to work in Hardship and Hazardous locations.
• Have or be able to obtain a FAA Class II medical certificate.
• Have or be able to successfully complete altitude chamber / physiological training.
• Be able to complete small arms weapons qualification.
• Must be able to successfully accomplish the CONUS Replacement Center course, which requires compliance with certain medical standards, a successful deployment physical examination, immunizations and training.
• Previous ISR and or instructor/evaluator experience desired.
• Must show demonstrable interpretation and analysis experience with E/O IR sensor systems.
• Must be able to successfully accomplish airborne mission / flight operations and image analysis (how the position relates to the job and aircraft).
Must be able to travel for training.
