Job Description:

The Airborne Sensors and Analytics Division (ASAD) within the Defense Group of Leidos has an opportunity for a Logistician with extensive logistics management experience in a broad-spectrum of applications to include the development of training materials.  This position will be located in our Huntsville, Alabama offices.

Member of a multi-functional team supporting a full spectrum of division activities specifically focused on performing system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and Integrated Product Support (IPS) of major weapon systems.  Duties may include controlling the flow of goods, services and information between the point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements as well as ensure the execution and improvement of standard logistic processes associated documentation.  In this role he/she will coordinate cross functional efforts to accomplish assigned tasks and will be responsible for leadership activities as required.  Provide support to functional areas including requirements analysis, implementation planning, third party coordination, integration and test, sustainment, documentation, deployment, and system assessment.  Interface with government personnel to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables, and resolve issues.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Integration, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation for operational maintenance team
  • Develop and transform low/high-level design artifacts into fieldable, Soldier-led documentation.
  • Develop logistics documentation: Technical Manuals (TM), Training Support Packages (TSP), Logistics Management Information (LMI) Supportability Requirements Analysis (SRA), Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transpiration (PHS&T) and Modification Work Orders (MWOs) that validate customer driven requirements are met
  • Publication validation, verification, and Logistics Demonstration (LD) process development and support
  • Impact project teammates regarding design, process and applications
  • Responsible for mentoring, reviewing and delegating work to subcontractor professionals
  • Develop and maintain documentation and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Assist in writing proposals and ISD Processes across Army programs
  • Maintain cost, schedule and performance control of assigned programs when required
  • Establish a Basis of Estimate (BOE) for Contract proposals
  • Assist in the development of Maintenance Task Analysis
  • Responsible for optimizing repair decisions in order to minimize the overall life cycle cost of assets by creating a Level of Repair Activity (LORA)
  • Coordinate and communicate with US Army UAS stakeholders and end users as well as with the internal and external customer and leadership
  • Familiar with Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Familiar with Agile development paradigm, particularly for software development 
  • Experience managing training materials development for Department of Defense (DoD) weapons system
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of logistics activities.
  • Experience with COLTS, and UAS-I
  • Experience using Arbor Text
  • Experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) Field Maintenance Manual to Include Repair Parts and Special Tools (RPSTL)
  • Demonstrated experience with training reviews, individual and crew training, new equipment training (NET), initial, formal, and on-the-job training, and sustainment proficiency training
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook) 
  • Willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama if not local

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Development of training materials, technical manuals, and logistics support documentation
  • Technical manual editing, composition, production, and delivery in accordance with specifications, standards, and related requirements
  • Experience in the development of proposals and capture management
  • Experience with US Army Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
  • Ability to develop Earned Value Management System (EVMS) management plans
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
  • Army Instructor Basic Course or equivalent
