The Leidos Defense Group has an immediate career opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator based at Montgomery, Alabama.
This position is in support of the AFINC II contract for the highly visible 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) at Maxwell Air force Base-Gunter Annex, Alabama, which provides a world-wide support mission. The 26 NOS is responsible for the intranet support of the entire Air Force network. The mission of the 26 NOS is to operate and defend the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network consisting of the AF Wide Area Network (WAN) routers, AF Network Increment 1 (AFNET Inc 1) Gateways, and the 26 NOS Local Area Network (LAN) assets.
The Database Administrator selected for this position manages all the Air Force network boundary AFINC database systems for the program to include updates, life cycle management, IAVMs, software patches, etc. We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with expertise/certification in expertise in database management (Microsoft SQL), maintenance, administration, security, configuration, and development.
Create, maintain, secure, and monitor all 26NOS Web based systems front and back end environments that utilize:
.Net Framework C#.
Microsoft Visual Studio.
Manage backend database systems, SQL, allows for mission level systems to be available and able to interact with dependent systems on a 24x7 basis.
Provide security assessment and remediation on all applicable Web related services, tracked in VMS, ensuring 100% compliance with local, AF, and DISA related documentation IAVA, IAVB, MTO’s, CTOs, TCNOs, and STIGs.
Responsible for the development and implementation of documentation including policies, procedures, checklists, trends, analysis, and guidance specific to Web Development/SQL environment and their respective administration related systems. Provide access to applicable performance metrics for both network and circuit utilization to all echelons of leadership throughout the AF.
Follow Government Official policy/precedence for resolving all issues through proper channels or as directed allowing for zero security incidents during each quarter.
Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure compliance to deliverables during period of performance.
Special development projects as assigned.
High school and 5 years of demonstrated expertise on database management, maintenance, administration, security, configuration, and development.
Must have an active Secret Clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
IAT certification: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
MCSA: SQL 2012/2014 or SQL 2016 Database Administration.
